St. Vincent (Annie Clark)
Recipe
Really Good Toast
how i counter this acquired food snobbery? 8 months of the year, i am forced to eat subway.
Ingredients
nice fresh whole grain bread – my favorite is organic whole wheat with five grains from Amy’s Breads
good soft cheese from france – like Pierre Robert or anything picked up from Bedford Cheese Shop
fruit sweetened jam – apricot or strawberry – i prefer italian brand bionaturae because who doesn’t love old world tuscany and organic jam?
Instructions
no toaster in my house
so i use the broiler
lots of attention paid to flipping the toast
or else…...ash cakes!
About this Artist
St. Vincent (Annie Clark)
St. Vincent is the very talented Annie Clark, who has been a supporting musician to the likes of Sufjan Stevens and Polyphonic Spree prior to releasing her own solo CD in 2007. I am completely enamored with the way she so effortlessly swings between beauty and cacophony in her live performances.
