The Raveonettes (Sune Rose Wagner)
Recipe
Sune's Simple Summertime Sauce
This simple uncooked sauce is great for summer when tomatoes are in season and fresh, bright flavors are in order. Sune likes it because it is cheap and easy to make.
Ingredients
- fresh tomatoes, chopped
- garlic, very finely chopped (to taste)
- onion, very finely chopped (to taste)
- basil, chopped
- parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Put the chopped tomatoes in a large bowl and add garlic, onion, basil, parsley, salt and pepper to taste. Leave it there for 6 to 8 hours for the flavors to blend and get more intense. If you want it less strong, leave it for less time.
- Cook pasta and toss it with the cold sauce, and you’re done!
About this Artist
The Raveonettes (Sune Rose Wagner)
The Raveonettes are a Danish band made up of Sune Rose Wagner and Sharin Foo. I instantly fell in love with their straightforward pop songs wrapped up in wall-of-sound fuzzed-out guitars and laced with tight vocal harmonies. Top it off with a slightly twisted 50s/60s retro thing, and you’ve got the total rock package.

About the interview
- Notes:
I was enormously pregnant at the time of this interview. In fact, I was so big and tired, I couldn’t stay up late enough to film their show. Thanks to Sony for providing the music video. My apologies to the band for taking so long (3+ years!) to get this interview online.
